A Blessed Morning 🪶
This morning started like any other, I opened the shade in my room, the one that faces the balcony. Just a simple routine. But the second the light came through, something extraordinary happened.
Right there in the backyard sat a Red-bellied Woodpecker; bold, bright, with that unmistakable red crown. I literally screamed, ‘JOSH!!!’ And then Josh screamed for Frank. Total family chaos over one unexpected visitor… because we never get woodpeckers here. And this one felt like it showed up with intention.
But the magic didn’t stop there.
Not even a minute later, as the woodpecker was still perched… a hummingbird flew in. My little miracle-winged friend — the one that always shows up for me, the one I’ve always felt is guiding me. Hummingbirds have followed me for years, always showing up when I need a reminder that I’m not alone. So seeing it appear right then felt like a soft, familiar reassurance.
And then; as if two signs weren’t enough; a dove arrived too.
Her calm, peaceful energy just floated into the moment.
She’s been trying to build a nest in our balcony light, claiming our home as part of hers. Doves symbolize peace, comfort, and blessings over a household… and there she was, joining the other two, all at once.
Three different birds.
Three different meanings.
Three different energies; all visiting at the exact same time.
The woodpecker with its message of strength, persistence, and divine protection.
The hummingbird bringing joy, resilience, and that gentle whisper of hope I’ve always felt from it.
And the dove, representing peace, home, and blessings settling exactly where they’re meant to.
Standing there, watching all three, it felt like the universe wasn’t just sending a sign…
It was sending a triple confirmation.
A layered message saying:
‘You’re protected.
You’re guided.
You’re blessed.
Keep going, mamá, something beautiful is unfolding.’
And in this season; where motherhood stretches me, where the days are heavy and beautiful and chaotic and full; opening the shade to see that moment felt like pure magic.
Three birds.
Three blessings.
One unforgettable moment that turned an ordinary morning into something sacred, powerful, and deeply personal.
